Skip counting

Raelee surprised me last week. I was dreading the skip counting lesson (you know...2, 4,6,8,etc). It is such an abstract idea, I just didn't think she would pick up on it. I started the lesson, explaining skip counting to her and she said, Mommy, I know what that is. "2, 4, 6, 8 10, 12 Is that right?" Um yeah...how did you learn that. "I don't know...I just know it." So I had to teach her WHAT it was and how to get to 20. The whole thing just blew me out of the water!
