Sometimes you just have to step back

We have been having such a difficult time with reading. She shuts down when she sees any of her reading books. I did find that she is really good at spelling those same words she says she 'doesn't know'. So, we are going about it that way. I don't know if it's right...but it's working for now, and she is enjoying it. Don't ask her to put it on paper...it has to be on her dry erase board. She loves that thing.

Words she spelled (then read!) today:
cat, man, mat, rat, ran, pat, pan, bat, can, and wet (wet was the new word..lol)

She did really well! She spelled all of them correct. When she was done, SHE wanted to read them! YAY!!!!
