Todd has been busting his rear to get the chicken coop done. He was right on track and doing a great job, then he got a call that he had to go back to work a week early. He kicked it into high gear and was able to get it mostly done. He still has some things to finish up when he gets home, but it's livable now. I'll update again when it's all the way done.

| This is what it looked like last week. |
| He used the wood from the upper part of the play house and turned the lower part into a chicken coop. He only had to buy $80 of wood (or something like that..lol). The biggest expense was the hardware cloth. |
| This is what it looks like now. The top part will be all railed in so that the kids can still play up there. |
| Here our girls inside. I think they are pretty happy. :) |
| Standing at the pop door opening. They weren't really sure what to do with the ramp. |
| It didn't take long though...they each had ramp 'lessons' by teacher Raelee. I'm happy to say that 7 out of 8 of them passed the class with flying colors. Lexi will take a bit more work to learn how to do this but she's very close now. |
| Raelee is thrilled with the coop. I'm so glad that it's big enough for her to go in and spend time. |
| She chose to do her math in there. |
The dogs have had to adjust too. My dad came over today to 'light' the coop up. It now has electricity going to it so that they don't dig holes under it. Goofy has figured out just where to put his head so that the two lines of wire doesn't hit him. It's a big funny to see.
| Raelee was building a swing for the chicks. The string was on the ground for a bit and they had a blast with it. I think they thought it was a worm. They fought over who got the end of it. It was so funny to watch! |
| Raelee was so proud that she was able to drill two holes in a piece of wood to make her swing. The swing wasn't successful, but she was still very proud of her holes. Watch out daddy...here she comes! |
| The chicks are locked in their coop at night. When we slid the pop door closed, they didn't like it one bit. They sat at the door 'yelling' at us and tapping on the glass. It was pretty cute! |
