Weekly Update~Homeschool

Our homeschooling days are still going great. Raelee is super eager to learn and I'm eager to teach her. What more could you ask for??  Here are a few quick pictures with updates on what's going on.

Raelee has been super into building fairy houses and furniture with wood, nails and loads of wood glue. Her  daddy couldn't be happier!

We had to go out and catch a small perch to observe it, measure, and weigh it for Science.

Taking the temp of the fish without even touching the fish!
Daddy helping to weigh (on my food scale..lol)

Learning all about fish bladders and water pressure.  Daddy told her all about how this same concept helped him when he was diving.

Don't mind the crookedness..lol  This is our Simile rainbow. It was really fun to do this and we learned about simile's and also the colors of the rainbow.

I took down one of our chalkboards so that I could fit our new timeline. It goes all the way from Ancients to Modern times. Raelee is really enjoying it!

Taking down the chalkboard allowed me to put maps down at eye level. It has been great. Raelee spends a ton of the time on the floor (don't ask) and we have had some pretty great discussions about the world map.

She's learning some algebra in math and doing really great. We need to work on addition facts, but that will come with time.

If you asked me 6 months ago if she could diagram a simple sentence, I would have told you no way...but here she is...doing just that, and doing it well.

Here is more of our science class....our very own lettuce garden. Actually, a salad garden. We have bell peppers, tomato's, and cucumbers planted that are all about to ripen. Also, cabbage, broccoli and carrots..but those have a ways to go.

A Buster shot...because he's cute

Growing more beautiful every day. Make time stop..please?

Unfortunately, it doesn't stop :-( They are grown and gone before you know it. Cherish every moment like I know you are doing. Absorb it like sponge - you will need it when she uses that independence you have given her. Beautiful post, love the update and pictures. Love you, love punkin'. Miss you tons!
