Exciting times!

We have had a very exciting few days! It started off with meeting Jan Brett...Raelee's very favorite children's author. It was purely magical. She demonstrated a drawing and showed us the inspiration for her new book. Raelee has already started using what she learned about drawing. We really had fun.

We also got 3 new chicks that day. They are Black Copper Marans. Hopefully pullets that will lay chocolate eggs.

We also found that Margaret hatched a little baby out...I THINK she is a girl but time will tell. We have 3 more eggs to go. Hoping for a 100% hatch.

Raelee is also working on "training" the older babies...to roost...

To ride the dog...you know...stuff chickens need to know!

And...for the grand finale...Cadence now trailers up! This opens a whole new world for her! First ride...a barrel race tonight. So exciting!
